Pants on the Ground. //

So everyone's heard of "Pants on the Ground" by Larry Platt. Man singing his heart out on American Idol. With its comedic and viral value, there is not one person who doesn't know the song.

Even the infamous Brett Farve knows the song.

Now, it's hit its acclaim within the hip-hop industry.

To me its just puzzling how something so minuscule, such as a song about pants being on the ground, to making it huge. Can anyone answer me that...

Welcome Technology. //

After years in development, here is the finished product: The Transcend.

Zeal Optics with Reco Instruments have came up with goggles that integrate a "Head Mounted Display". Basically the rider can call up data right in front of their eyes like a jet pilot displaying information such as speed, altitude, temperature, time, GPS location, and stop watch. Too bad it costs 350$. Though, clever and super advanced technology for goggles.

New Age of Board Games //

Monopoly has been a staple and standard for board games, being patented in 1935. The game has taken on different themes (from Seinfeld, to Transformers, to The Beatles) but stayed relatively the same. It finally took its 75th anniversary to push for change.

Now, a new design and updated look for Monopoly will hit retailers' shelves in the fall of 2010. The game is up to date with more "here and now" pricing, sound effects, and electronic banking. The concept remains the same, and no changes in the rules were made. Just a modernization of a classic game.

I can only assume for perhaps more board games to take on a more modern look.

Stop and Go. //

Director Wes Anderson (known for Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums, and Darjeeling Limited) took the lead in creating a stop motion film for the Roald Dahl's "Fantastic Mr. Fox" which released to theatres this past fall.

After its release, the movie was recognized for the Special Filmmaking Achievement Award by the National Board of Review. His acceptance speech: done the same way that the movie was filmed, in stop motion.

Fantastic film with a great story. Loved the novel when I was a kid, and its a fantastic adaptation (all puns intended). Definitely check it out.
